Price and renewal

Chest Premium is USD $4.99 per month or USD $49 per year. Your selected plan renews automatically at that interval until you cancel renewal. Checkout shows the amount and any applicable taxes before you confirm. There is no free trial in the current plans.

What your subscription includes

Premium unlocks paid Chest themes. It does not include Gemini API usage. Free local chess features remain available after a subscription ends, and Chest preserves your local games and saved preferences.

Cancel or resume renewal

Open Settings → Account → Manage billing in Chest to cancel renewal. Cancellation through the billing portal takes effect at the end of the paid period; Premium access continues until that date. You can resume renewal before the subscription ends. Signing out or uninstalling Chest does not cancel a subscription.

Change your plan

Use the billing portal to switch between monthly and yearly billing. Stripe calculates a credit for unused paid time and invoices the prorated adjustment immediately. Review the amount and the next renewal date shown in the portal before confirming.

Payment problems and offline access

If a subscription becomes past due, unpaid, paused, or canceled, an online check removes Premium access. Update your payment method and pay any outstanding invoice in the portal; a verified active subscription restores access. Network outages allow previously verified Premium access for up to seven days, capped at the paid period's end. Offline access cannot be renewed without an online check.

Refunds and billing questions

Contact support@chestapp.io with your account email and the invoice reference for a refund request, duplicate charge, or billing concern. The Chest team reviews requests individually. Do not send card details, passwords, or API keys. Canceling renewal does not itself issue a refund. This information does not limit any refund or cancellation rights available under applicable law.

Account deletion

Request account deletion through support. We verify account ownership and cancel any continuing Premium billing before deleting the account. Removing an account does not remove local games on your Mac. Billing records may be retained by Stripe where needed for financial and legal obligations.

Payments and privacy

Stripe processes checkout, recurring payments, and the billing portal. Chest does not store full card numbers or security codes. See our privacy notice for information about billing data.
